First Climate Week for MENA Region Aims to Accelerate Collaboration and Integrate Climate Action Towards Global Recovery

Mar 23 2022

The Middle East and North Africa Climate Week (MENACW) will be organised for the first time on 28-31 March, 2022, in Dubai.

The event will build on the outcomes of COP26 and explore resilience against climate risks, the transition to a low-emission economy, uncover areas of collaboration, and integrate climate action into the global pandemic recovery. The event will bring together key stakeholders to exchange on climate action in the region, explore climate challenges and opportunities and showcase ambitious solutions.

On March 31, 11.00 -12.30 (GMT+4), the Africa-EU Energy Partnership’s (AEEP) Head of Secretariat, Johan van den Berg, will participate in the session “Collaboration and Partnerships to Accelerate a Sustainable and Just Energy Transition”.
